Summary: The primary purpose of the UX/UI Designer at Travis Credit Union is to enhance the digital experience for our members by designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces across various digital platforms. This role involves conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and high-quality user experience. A key focus will be on auditing current digital experience and identifying near-term wins for improvements. Additionally, the UX/UI Designer will work on optimizing member journeys, ensuring that every interaction is smooth, efficient, and enjoyable.
Profile:
  • Experience Audit: Audits current digital experiences and identifies near-term wins for improvements in member facing digital experiences such as digital banking, public website or other digital platforms.
  • User Research: Conducts thorough user research to understand member needs, behaviors, and pain points. Implements usability testing, surveys, and interviews to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Design Development: Develops intuitive and engaging interaction designs that enhance user experience across various platforms. Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and mock-ups that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Prototyping: Creates high-fidelity prototypes and interactive mock-ups to validate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and users. Uses tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Zeplin.
  • Market Analysis: Analyzes market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our design solutions. Uses findings to guide design strategies and ensure alignment with user needs and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with product managers, developers, and vendors to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with technical constraints. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Design Systems: Contributes to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability of design across various products.
  • Visual Design: Produces and refines ready assets, including icons, graphics, and visual elements, for use in digital products. Ensures final designs are pixel-perfect and ready for implementation, aligning with brand guidelines and design systems.
  • Copywriting:Develops clear, concise, and engaging copy for digital interfaces, including microcopy, error messages, and instructional text. Ensures that the tone and style of the copy align with the brand voice and enhance the overall user experience

Skills:
  • Proficiency in design tools such a Figma, Adobe XD, and Zeplin.
  • Excellent understanding of usability principles and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct and analyze user research and usability testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with design delivery via agile methods/practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to generate ideas independently as well as collaboratively.
Reporting and Experience:
  • Reports directly to assigned department leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in either business, marketing, design, computer science/technology or equivalent; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Experience working in a credit union or financial institution preferred.
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature.
Compensation:Base hourly starting range is commensurate with experience.

  • $42.05/hour - $51.94/hour
