In the context of the core techno projects (Connected service, powertrains, platforms, modules), the system architect guarantees the consistency of her/his system (or subsystem) to completeness of stakeholder's needs with the best trade-off between performance/quality/cost/schedule. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and deploy the roadmap of her/his system and improve product family policy (Module Strategic Committee)
- Understand new uses cases and negotiate them with all stakeholders (marketing, manufacturing, regulation & consumerist, maintenance & repairs...etc.)
- Lead functional & dysfunctional impact analysis.
- Ensure feasibility of the of the system's design with the constituent's leaders (subsystems or components)
- Ensure standardization and maximize the reuse.
- Ensure feasibility of the of the system's design according to the quality/cost/schedule objectives of the core techno project.
- Ensure standardization and maximize the reuse of functions and components/parts for optimize the time to market and the development cost.
- Oversee and coordinate activities of the multiple referents from dedicated disciplines (analyst engineers, system designers, components leaders).
- Organize and conduct the main system technical reviews (System Requirements Review, Systems Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review...etc.).
- Organize and control the system architecture activities and results through the PLM tools and manage her/his System lifecycle.
- Monitor and control the progressive achievement of the desired system product through architectural views and data.
- Provide a System level technical status to the project manager.
This is a multidisciplinary environment: mechanics, electronics, software, IT, physics. It includes the innovation phase through to validation phase. This position will interact with the international R&D team, both Stellantis and partners teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field
- Minimum of 5 years in functional/system design in multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to communicate in English
- Mastering Functional Architectures
- Master of connected services related to the automobile (Authentication, profile, activation, xcall...etc.)
- Ability to understand high-level functional needs to detach functional groups from a vehicle.
- Ability to break down client needs into functional groups
- Ability to understand safety requirements in a functional vehicle architecture
- Ability to apply editorial rigor in English
- Ability to enforce configuration management to all system actors and managers
- Ability to explain and impose configuration management on projects
- Knowledge of the document structure associated with the design of a complex system based on operational safety and traceability requirements
- Knowledge of vehicle functions including complex mechanical functions such as engines, gearboxes, braking systems, ADAS ... etc., would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the modeling of electronic architecture using a system engineering tool would be a plus.
