DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will provide leadership, supervision, and direction for the Philadelphia CAO clerical unit. You will also provide training and orientation for clerical staff as needed. Your duties will include evaluating, monitoring, and instructing subordinates to ensure accurate and efficient support to income maintenance casework staff. In this position, you will process assistance benefits using a PC and assign work to subordinates in an equitable manner. You can expect to identify personnel problems and recommend appropriate action. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the Executive Director. In this role, you should have a working knowledge of office equipment and make service calls when needed. You will plan and approve leave for subordinates maintaining adequate area coverage to ensure efficient workflow. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as needed
- Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language. All Philadelphia worksites are accessible by public transportation (SEPTA).
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
