Job Summary

Dorman's Channel Marketing Manager develops marketing strategies segmented by specific customer channels to promote our brand and innovative product solutions. The Channel Marketing Manager creates marketing programs, develops, and leads the execution of campaigns in collaboration with the broader marketing team and sales leads; while building strong relationships with counterparts among our largest customer accounts.

Primary Duties

  • Lead initiatives independently and in concert with marketing counterparts at top Retail and Traditional partners
  • Serve as a liaison between the Dorman Sales, Category Management, Product, and Marketing teams in developing best-in-class programming with key traditional customers and customer buying groups.
  • Partner with Director of Channel Marketing to consistently develop impactful awareness-driving collateral, targeting key account sales teams and customers (i.e. Counterpeople and Technicians).
  • Develop partnerships with key customers; with the goal of increased awareness through the sharing and deployment of digital assets reflecting the latest Dorman innovations
  • Lead efforts aimed at training and development of innovative selling techniques, presentations, and materials.
  • Act as primary liaison between Dorman's national network of Sales Contributors and the larger Marketing Team.
  • Work with Events Team and Sales to coordinate tradeshow schedule, to include strategic messaging, tradeshow material development and customer show experience
  • Work with Training Team to coordinate customer plans focused on in-person tech training, and digital product training opportunities.
  • Periodically attend customer and industry events where appropriate.
  • Ensure quick turnarounds in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, creativity, time management, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development, sales, and customer distribution processes
  • Experience in programmatic marketing and product sales across multiple customer accounts.
  • Proven track record in creating content for diverse channels, product lines, and target audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent prioritization and workload management skills, capable of meeting critical project deadlines.
  • Ability to stay energized and focused amidst ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrating deep understanding of customers' business to identify opportunities to support growth; monitoring customer feedback and adjusting approaches to improve service and support.
  • Proactively engaging and working with customers to identify and address their needs to drive satisfaction, coordinating with internal departments to ensure comprehensive stakeholder support.
  • Establishing KPIs to measure performance and leads efforts to resolve them to keep projects on track

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B or B2C marketing, preferably in channel, partner, or trade marketing roles
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and driving awareness, consideration, and conversion through third-party channels
  • Familiarity with product launches, merchandising strategies, and sell-through initiatives in multi-channel environments
  • Strong project management, communication, and networking abilities
  • Computer Skills: Proficient w/Microsoft Office including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Exce
