Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior JDE Functional Analyst - Finance position is responsible for implementing, customizing, developing, testing and supporting of various financial processes and business scenarios in the Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) platform as per Merieux's global and U.S. business requirements. The position will work on developing updated versions of proprietary software suites and building customizations. The position will train employees on the workings of the Oracle JDE system and the other complex proprietary Oracle JDE customizations. The position responsibilities include:
* Implementing Oracle JDE Finance/Accounting Modules - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Private Label, Manufacturing Accounting, Fixed Asset, Credit and Taxation for new Branch Plants and Companies;
* Lead the Oracle JDE in-house projects from start to finish;
* Conduct gap analysis, coordinating gap closure of business process changes;
* Partner with stakeholders to create specifications and identify business requirements for systems and solutions to meet business needs;
* Define, analyze and propose business solutions based on the business needs;
* Handle reporting requirements for Hubble Reporting on new or existing reports;
* Architect, design and develop Merieux's custom Oracle JDE requirements for implementation and maintenance of Enterprise to various environments;
* Interact with the developers responsible for various Merieux's custom application program interfaces for each of the modules and ensure the Oracle JDE infrastructure can support these developments;
* Upgrade and improve the Oracle JDE system through periodic analysis, testing, and responsive development;
* Conduct complete business requirements review with stakeholders and documents the acceptance of those requirements;
* Create test cases for CRP scripts, IT Script, Testing & UAT Support Training/Set Up with associated reproduction steps, for verification and sign-off of all Merieux codes;
* Provide support to business users for every End of Month & End of Year activities. Resolving Batch, Accounting Setup, Item Setup, Invoicing, Sales Update and Trail Balance issues and assist the Business Team with technical issues when running
monthly reports and extracts;
* Propose systems solutions and identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements;
* Generate test environments and scenarios within Oracle JDE to recreate customer issues and allow for analysis and problem solving;
* Provide training to business users for new module/feature/processes in the Oracle JDE software;
* Analyze error logs and reports to diagnose issues that arise from the customization of the Oracle JDE software, and to ensure efficient fixing of issues;
* Conduct ESU (Electronic Software Update) implementation provided by Oracle (to fix a bug) to be applied in the Standard Oracle JDE software;
* Review the ESU documents from Oracle, recommending bug fixes if needed and test the ESU when implemented in the Oracle JDE customized software;
* Meet with other team members to address any Custom Interface related issues, user experiences across the systems, quality of data being transferred;
* Monitor the daily activities of Users when they are working in the Oracle JDE system, to ensure they are following best practices; and
* Leverage the Oracle JDE test environments, maintain data synchronization in test environments, in order to undertake end-to-end functional testing, test-case proofing, and load testing.
Position allows for occasional telecommuting within commuting distance of reporting office in Chicago, IL
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, IT, Software Engineering or closely related field (or foreign degree equivalent). Employer will accept a 3 or 4-year degree.
The position requires at least three (3) years' experience in each of the following:
* Customizing and implementing Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) software interfaces to enhance business and finance processes.
* Experience working with various financial and business systems, including Private Label, Get Paid, Talentia, Blackline, Hubble, SnapPay, and WorldPay, to streamline financial workflows and business processes.
* Experience in designing and developing collections and cash management processes and handling complex banking interfaces, including invoicing processes, to ensure seamless integration between ERP systems and financial institutions.
* Experience gathering key business data metrics to identify business processes and developing customized tools to provide technical solutions.
Compensation: $125,000 per year
