Job Overview

The PCX Production Planner is responsible for supporting projects within the factory from order entry all the way to shipment, working closely with cross-functional team members to achieve business goals and ensure customer satisfaction. The Production Planner will schedule and coordinate flow of work through manufacturing processes to meet and exceed production deadlines, coordinating with production managers, procurement, engineering, and logistics at two locations in North Carolina.

A Day In The Life

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules per the master schedule.
  • Maintain detailed schedule and production levels per SIOP monthly.
  • Establish sequence and lead time of relevant operations in the schedule.
  • Create and release manufacturing work orders.
  • Drive Customer On-Time Delivery and Demonstrated Lead Time while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • React daily to MRP to manage production and meet on time delivery.
  • Monitor inventory. Work with Procurement, Materials Management and Operations to optimize material availability and resolve any issues that may affect the schedule.
  • Track job progress and insure correct flow of information.
  • Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to the schedule.
  • Identify problems and assist with improvement actions.
  • Participate in and/or run weekly meetings.
  • Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
  • Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements. Wears required PPE at all times.
  • Works in a timely, efficient manner to meet all daily performance objectives.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field,orat least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in production planning or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other production planning software.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Sharp analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
