Purpose Oversee daily activities and roles involved in the administration of inbound materials transportation and outbound orders shipping in coordination with Warehouse Operations and Customer Care with the objective of minimizing transport costs while providing the necessary level of service to meet operational requirements and customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities Strategy design and execution * Contribute to the design of the local Logistics strategy by providing input regarding the Transport operational plan and improvement initiatives. * Monitor transport-related activities to meet local Operations objectives. Function management * Lead a team of transportation specialists which administers the day-to-day transportation operations for domestic purchases, and shipment of products to customers via all modes of transport in accordance with global transport policies. * Monitor compliance of transport of materials/products with local regulations * Monitor compliance of materials/products transportation with safety/security regulations. * Track the performance of transportation suppliers, report deviations, and implement corrective actions. * Oversee the delivery of materials/products to inbound/outbound or customer warehouse(s) as agreed/committed date. * Conduct regular checks to improve order to delivery process. * Liaise with Accounts Payable/Receivable to address invoicing or payment of ordered logistics services. * Conduct regular training to ensure that specialists keep updated on regulation changes. * Led and partnered with Procurement to implement transportation-related projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. * Monitored freight costs to prevent deviations and proactively minimized additional expenses. * You will report to your Managers. People management * Conduct annual human resources processes for the assigned Transport team(s) and validate results. * Work with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline in for the function. Drive the development and promotion of identified talents within Operations. Academic Background * Bachelor's degree in logistics. Professional Experience * 4 to 5 years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment. * 1 to 2 years of experience in people management. Technical Skills * Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape. * Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations. * Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes. * Basic knowledge of the production process. * Good analytical and negotiation skills. * Solid IT skills (SAP preferred, MS Office) Salary expectation based on experience: $84,000 - $100,000 #LI-hybrid #ZR At Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people's lives. | |
