Inova Mt Vernon is looking to add a part time EP to our team. This position is part time, 20 hours a week with FULL TIME benefits. Work alongside our wonderful team as we help our patients make a full recovery.

Exercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
  • Reviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans.
  • Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Exercise Physiologist Additional Requirements:

Certification - Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Within 6 Months

Licensure - Not required

Experience - Not required but a year preferred

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology
