About the role:

As a Principal Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer you will will be responsible for performing, verifying, and directing others to generate design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for Loss of Coolant Accidents (LOCA).

You will report to the Engineering Manager of Loss Of Coolant Accident Safety Analysis. and be located at Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid; you will work a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and assessment of models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena
  • Use of statistical techniques for performing realistic nuclear reactor safety analysis
  • Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysis
  • Contribute to development of new analysis methodologies for design basis accidents
  • Cognizance of plant specific licensing basis, Analysis of Record, 50.46 reporting
  • Point of contact for plant-specific LOCA specific inquiries from both internal and external customers
  • Lead project teams, contribute to project schedule generation and cost estimates
  • Development of newer engineers
  • Identify and suggest process improvements


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

    • Nuclear
    • Mechanical
    • Chemical
    • Knowledge of nuclear reactors
    • Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit
