Position Summary |
UNC School of Law seeks a Strategic Digital and Marketing Specialist to join the Office of Communications. This role reports to the Assistant Dean for Communications and works with the team to strategically plan and create content for the law school's social media, digital marketing efforts and promotional videos. Responsibilities include creating digital content, photography, video production, social media listening and reporting, graphic design, writing for the web, and conducting market research. This role will perform budgetary responsibilities and manage the production for print and digital projects ensuring they are completed on time and on budget. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* Ability create visual and written content and strategy for social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook,LinkedIn, YouTube) and other digital marketing platforms
* Knowledge of of graphic design and layout, expertise using design software (Adobe Creative Suite,
Canva)
* Knowledge of AP Style and best practices for writing for the web
* Excellent written, digital and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated commitment to incorporating principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in all
communication materials
* Excellent organizational skills to include managing time and deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and leading
projects
* Ability to shift priorities to meet demands and deadlines
* Ability to manage Budget
* Ability to work with vendors to execute comprehensive marketing decisions
* Excellent customer service skills which include active listening, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, and timely delivery of content and services. |
