Structural Intern/Co-Op The Structural Intern/Co-Op will work as a member of a design team on multiple projects serving clients such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYSTA, MTA C&D - NYCT/LIRR/MNR and PANYNJ. The position includes preparation of plans, detail drawing/calculation checks, estimate and quantity take-offs for projects of various sizes and complexity. The Structures Department has a wide range of infrastructure projects including new bridge design, bridge rehabilitation, stations work, and inspection work. The candidate will need to be a self-motivated individual who utilizes the highest level of professionalism while performing engineering assignments and work well in a team. Preferred Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or a graduate Structural Engineering program. * 2+ years completed toward degree. * 3.00 GPA or higher preferred. * Attention to detail a must. * Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills. * Students with at least one prior internship in the A/E industry preferred. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. * An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. * Preference will be given to local candidates. The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
