The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is tasked with the daily maintenance and preventative/predictive maintenance. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Vandalia, OH site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. This shift will require you to work 5:30 am - 5:30 pm on a rotating Panama shift. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $35.00 to $39.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
- Conduct repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, ensuring all documentation and procedures are strictly followed.
- Apply electrical test equipment for troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits.
- Build and close work orders in the asset management system, detailing labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Diagnose and resolve conveyance problems, determining the necessary resources for resolution.
- Manage and monitor spare parts inventory.
- Perform advanced maintenance and testing of equipment to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assist in training customers on the operation of equipment.
- Respond to service calls, resolving equipment failures and faults efficiently.
- Identify and address issues as they arise, taking appropriate steps to tackle them successfully.
What We Are Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent experience is required; an Associate's degree or vocational technical training is preferred, with niche skill training/certification being advantageous.
- Demonstrated senior-level expertise with 5-7 years of experience in a relevant technical or specialty area.
- Proven track record in the responsibilities outlined above, with successful implementation of key tasks.
- Strong customer-facing skills, capable of maintaining professional communication with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians, both via email and in person.
- Leadership ability to guide projects, teams, and coordinate daily operations of the onsite maintenance team.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, with regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Ability to occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies with products up to 100 pounds.
- Competence in climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Able to work in diverse conditions: small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temps, noise, vibration, standing long hours on concrete, wet/uneven surfaces.
- Strong background in PLC and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
