The NOAM Sr. Payroll Data Analyst is a strategic role focused on data analytics, systems integration, and process improvement within payroll operations. While a foundational understanding of payroll is helpful, this role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical, systems, and automation experience who can drive insights and efficiencies across a complex, multi-country payroll environment. Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Data analysis and Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data both inbound and outbound. Generate and analyze payroll reports to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance, and support the business. Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards for tracking payroll metrics, providing insights that drive strategic initiatives.
- Payroll Compliance: Assist in evaluating pay practices to ensure compliance with country-specific, federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on new regulations and ensure their appropriate application
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HRIT, Legal, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliant payrolls through system integrations. Maintain effective communication and relationships with these stakeholders.
- Project Support: Support the execution and delivery of payroll solutions and projects, including requirements definition, process mapping, testing, integration, data migration, cutover activities, and change management. Provide high-quality customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving complex and escalated payroll issues, collaborating with leadership and employing advanced problem-solving strategies. Ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll discrepancies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll operations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, driving initiatives to optimize payroll efficiency and effectiveness. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and systems to better serve the organization. Leverage automation tools (e.g., RPA, scripting, workflow platforms) to reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and enhance the scalability of payroll operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (3 years of work experience for every one year of college education required).
Preferred:
- CPP Certification, bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required:
- 3+ years of experience in Finance, HRIS, or Shared Services roles (accounting, payroll, T&E, systems support, etc.)
- Strong data mining, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with large data sets and system integrations.
- Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Preferred:
- Project management experience
- Dayforce system experience
- Additional language skills would be an advantage

- Strong data management skills for handling complex payroll data and integrations
- Ability to accurately diagnose and resolve technical issues related to payroll systems.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required:
- A demonstrated understanding of payroll processes and related systems; including, but not limited to, benefits, taxes, and time and attendance collection.
- The ability to review regulatory publications, understand technical terminology and easily determine the effect pending and/or newly enacted legislation will have on current Department procedures.
