Job Summary

Analyze user EDI needs and requirements and propose EDI solutions that align to standards and can feasibly be delivered within expectations of time, risk, quality and cost constraints

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze user EDI needs and requirements and propose EDI solutions that align to standards and can feasibly be delivered within expectations of time, risk, quality and cost constraints
  • Ensure that products produced to run processes, meet the business and testing requirements of the business and any external partners before user acceptance testing occurs
  • Design, evaluate, review, and test functionality, reporting and/or interfaces to support business requirements
  • Perform complex modifications to existing software applications in accordance with specifications and standards
  • Review effort to ensure compliance to application standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems and complex issues
  • Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by software code or configuration, using knowledge of the system characteristics and utilizing system maintenance and tracking tools
  • Ensure application is designed, configured and deployed to work within contractual constraints for all relevant software licensing.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field and 7 years of related experience

Required Skills

  • Any amount of experience developing EDI operations for accurate translations, secure transactions, and ERP integration, adhering to industry standards and security protocols.
  • Any amount of experience implementing comprehensive logging and alerting mechanisms to identify and address EDI transmission errors or failures using OpenText/Internal Automation Tools.
  • Any amount of experience utilizing scripting and automation tools within the Gentran/OpenText environment to streamline processes, reduce manual tasks, and minimize errors.
  • Any amount of experience executing integration/System/Regression/unit testing with external trading partners and internal business units, ensuring data integrity of new and existing EDI documents.
  • Any amount of experience coordinating ERP backend tables and interfaces for EDI and liaising with warehouses to ensure accurate transactions and smooth operations

Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position. Can live anywhere in the U.S.
