Overview

The Sr. Technology Instructor Specialist is responsible for conducting an entire range of courses from starter, base-line programs to advanced, specialized skill programs. Leads the development of new programs based on identified needs and a defined approach to established training process. Works with SME to create/maintain classroom learning materials and review of other training project. This individual must be able to think on their feet and make immediate determinations on what is required to get issues resolved and follow through to completion


Responsibilities

* Subject matter expert and main point of contact for all technical training needs. Must continually maintain high level of product and technology knowledge to update skill set on an ongoing basis.

* Effectively lead a team to create and implement new technical training programs and materials, or update existing programs as required.

* Communicate technical data clearly and professionally with staff and students; convey technical information in an easily understood manner.

* Conduct formal technical training classes in a training center, virtual classes, or field classes. Use VM's & supporting software. This includes maintenance of student records and student evaluations.

* Identify urgent situations that require additional actions, including escalations of technical issues or information for prompt resolution.

* Proactively research and evaluate perceived training needs to identify core issues (performance based, skill development, etc.) and determine the most effective program development approach to implement. Complete a needs analysis to determine the most effective approach and modification of existing training modules (or development of a new one) to meet the needs of the audience.

* Effectively audit courses conducted by other less seasoned staff or ATP's to provide constructive feedback and support professional development.

* Provide guidance to managers in identification of staff training needs or gaps through evaluations and develop a plan to fill the knowledge gap.

* Establish priorities for other team members on assigned projects. Submit plans to management and implement and track the process accordingly.

* Apply policies, practices and other operational considerations in a fairly and consistent manner.

* Assist Technical Training Manager with local and departmental needs. Manage multiple training center key processes and projects.


Qualifications

* Bachelor Degree in related field. Master's Degree preferred.

* 7+ technical professional experience

* Min of 3 years of mastered performance as a Technical Education Instructor level 2 expectations.

* Experienced in teaching the following courses:

o Digital Product classes

o Copier and printer theory such as dis-assembly, reassembly and adjustments.

o Computer-related courses. For instance, print controllers and networking.

* At least two of the following certifications are required: A+, N+ and Security+

* Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

* Expert in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

* Expert in Adobe CS, and Acrobat skills.

* Proficient use of course development tools such as Lighthouse and Egnyte

* Proficient in networking infrastructure, operating systems, authentication, and troubleshooting in complex environments.

* Strong working knowledge of industry, KM Products, services and solutions offerings.

* Strong technical background especially in digital/connected products, electronics, strong color workflow and process workflow knowledge.

* Hardware and software computer expertise and exceptional network and software/solutions knowledge.

* Ability to interpret and condense complex information into a concise summary for classroom presentation and activities promoting learning.

* Able to relate to both technical and sales audiences in a professional, personable and persuasive manner.

* Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

* Readiness to accept and adapt quickly to change

* High degree of self-motivation to succeed and effectively manage multiple tasks.
