Position Purpose: Act as liaison between PETCO and the companion animal/aquatic life vendor to help coordinate and execute the various components of the vendor's programs. Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes Interest in animal welfare Supervisory Responsibility: None Work Environment: Work is primarily conducted in the NSC office environment, although minimal travel may be required to PETCO stores or vendor locations via automobile Education/Experience: A qualified applicant will possess a high school diploma or the equivalent (GED). Some college or two year degree preferred. Understanding of animal husbandry/care issues for many animal and aquatic life required. Purchasing and or Buying experience is preferred. Must have excellent computer skills, specifically in Excel.
