Position Summary: As our Quality Engineer, you will ensure quality systems and processes are aligned and support the growth and improvement targets of the company. Winchester's go-to-market strategy centers around its technical capabilities, customer service, and product reliability. This role will work with engineering, operations, business development, and finance to achieve the productivity, quality, cost, and profitable revenue growth targets. Qualifications & Requirements:
- BS degree required and a minimum of 5 years of quality experience as a Quality Engineer
- Proficiency in quality, six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques, design for manufacturability, design for assembly, failure mode and effects analysis techniques in a design and manufacturing environment
- Ability to direct quality resources to develop and implement test and inspection programs to meet customer, industry, regulatory standards across the manufacturing site
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated technical ability to perform root cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans, lead improvement initiatives and interface with customer's technical resources

- Provide Quality Control support for the product offerings to which you are assigned and manage the quality and reliability performance of the products throughout the entire life cycle
- Development, review, and deployment of Quality System processes and procedures
- Assessment of customer, industry, and regulatory requirements and the development of tailored quality plans that ensure compliance of requirements
- Development and execution of audit plans that ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements
- Drive resolution of compliance issues identified during audits
- QMS (quality management system) Continuous improvement - propose and administer best practices across the entire organization and support an effective corrective action process
- Drive customer-centric, total quality culture
- Customer satisfaction and communication, participation on NPI projects, FAI's, Source inspections, RMA's, CAR's, and general customer service
- Culture - Champion the Winchester culture while creating a strong organization
- Supports and maintains quality systems to capture, monitor, and manage product and process quality to support company tactical and strategic business goals and objectives
- Assists in the development of and monitors business process performance metrics/indicators as part of quality management, and makes recommendations and supports process improvements
- Supports a supply chain quality program including supplier qualification, FAI, audits, etc. in conjunction with operations
- Follow uniform processes for FAI/qualification of products/processes for internal and external customers
- Support the Quality Manager in responding to customer-related quality issues including failure analysis, corrective actions, etc. in conjunction with other functional areas as required
- Supports and maintains a robust corrective action process inclusive of six sigma, design for manufacture, design for assembly, failure mode and effects analysis, and lean manufacturing principles across all functions
- Prepares for and represents the product group at the customer, supplier quality, ISO, and related audits
- Identifies, develops, and supports processes and training programs needed to support tactical and strategic quality goals and objectives
- Assists sales and business development by reviewing customer quality requirements and providing cost estimates when required
- Ensures compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards
- Maintain the quality management system to assure and support compliance to export regulations
- Supports growth and improvement targets with systems and tools of the product group by driving continuous improvement, common processes, and the company values
- Other responsibilities as they may be assigned
