Job Summary (Primary function) The Manager, Supply Chain Planning creates, analyzes, and disseminates short-term and long-term supply plans for commercial and late-stage investigational products. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) * Obtain key planning information (independent demand, capacity constraints, Regulatory requirements, changes to packaging, etc.) from appropriate internal and external sources. * Develop and maintain short-term (<24 months) production / delivery schedules for Finished Goods, Semi-Finished Goods, Drug Product, API and Starting Materials. * Develop and maintain long-term supply plans for Finished Goods, Semi-Finished Goods, Drug Product, API and Starting Materials for both commercial products and late-stage investigational products. * Monitor adherence to the supply plans and make adjustments where needed. * Participate in the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by collecting and providing key data inputs, performing analysis, and identifying constraints / delays / supply issues. * Provide Forecasts and Purchase Orders to Suppliers and Contract Manufacturing Partners based on the terms of current Commercial Supply Agreements. * Act as key contributor in the implementation of new, and the improvement of existing, supply chain planning tools and systems. * Calculate / track manufacturing costs and fully-loaded costs for commercial and late-stage investigational products. * Provide meaningful, and easily accessible, information to Management (e.g. metrics/KPIs, costing, scorecards). Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) * Degree (such as Bachelor's) in relevant field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree (such as MBA or MS) is valued. * Minimum 1 year (with advanced degree) or 3 years (with bachelor's degree or equivalent experience) in supply planning within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry. * SAP experience is highly preferred. * Experience in S&OP / IBP, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management in a global environment is highly preferred.
