Job Summary

Provides a high-level of customer service to students and community members by administering a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments at the Rio Salado College Surprise Testing Center. This position follows strict policies and procedures for online test administration and provides technical support to customers and team members.

Essential Functions

70% - Administers a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments to students and community members using various online systems and software while providing a high-level of direct customer service. Acts as the official test proctor for these exams, follows strict policies and procedures. Maintains confidential testing records, databases, exams and reports, all while working in a team environment.

20% - Assists with technical troubleshooting; provides technical support to students, candidates, part-time staff, and other team members. Utilizes various communication methods to correspond with Faculty, outside departments, and external companies regarding testing issues. Successfully completes all closing duties each evening.

10% - Prepares and maintains correspondence, appointments and reports related to Testing. Provides general clerical assistance, including answering phones, maintain testing center email and calendar, greeting/directing student/customer traffic. Ensures accurate payments are received and processed. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience working in a customer service environment
B. Experience providing technical support or technical troubleshooting
C. Experience administering assessments in a Testing Center environment
D. Associate's Degree

Special Working Conditions

The primary location for this position is the Rio Salado College in Surprise located at 12535 W. Smokey Dr, Surprise, AZ 85378 but will be required to work at other locations for training and coverage purposes. The Rio Salado College Surprise Testing Center is open Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 9:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays 8:00am-5:00pm. This position requires evening hours and Saturdays. Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to other MCCCD locations. May require numerous evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving:
