We are seeking an Analyst, Real Estate Accounting to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. The Analyst role in the Real Estate Accounting team is essential for enhancing the team's capabilities in data analytics and enhancing operational efficiencies for close-related tasks. This position will leverage PowerBI and other reporting tools to aggregate data from various sources and present actionable insights to management. The Analyst will manage and/or participate in data transformation projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. By automating and standardizing processes, the Analyst will improve efficiency and accuracy in data handling, driving continuous process improvements. The role also includes providing analytical support to the VP - Real Estate Accounting, which may involve leading trainings to team members.

What You'll Be Doing:




  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reporting software for reporting data to key stakeholders. Use data visualization tools (such as PowerBI) to create and share data in an easy-to-comprehend fashion by aggregating data from various sources to create end-user dashboards and present actionable insights to management. Monitor and analyze KPIs to achieve the goals of the company.
  • Manage multiple data transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Participate in cross-functional and organizational-wide projects that enhance reporting and operational efficiencies while maintaining high professionalism in interactions with team members and management. Work closely with Business Technology, Information Technology and Business Planning & Analysis teams to transform data and systems used by the Real Estate Accounting (REA) team.
  • Participate in various close-related tasks to support the REA team.
  • Provide support to VP - Real Estate Accounting. Support may include, but is not limited to, leading various training courses to team members on how to develop and present data reports, or leading trainings and initiatives to automate and standardize processes within the REA team to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data handling to drive continuous process improvements.



Are You Qualified?

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related field


  • Three to five years of experience in accounting, finance or analytics
  • Minimum three years of experience in advanced excel, PowerBI or other advanced reporting applications
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related financial accounting/reporting concepts
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and identify actionable insights
  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Intermediate level proficiency with a data visualization tool (OneStream, Power BI)


Preferred:



  • CPA or other relevant certifications preferred


  • Intermediate level proficiency in SQL and comfortable aggregating data, joining tables, and writing efficient queries
  • Intermediate Experience with reporting applications (Spreadsheet Server, GL Inquiry, OneStream, etc)
  • Intermediate level proficiency with JD Edwards (or similar accounting software)
  • Intermediate experience with data warehouse and analytic platforms (Power BI)
