Summary
Responsible for providing direct patient care and supervising a team of LPNs and nursing support staff by coordinating patient care activities, overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Yes Essential Functions -Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and assisting with activities of daily living. -Provide leadership and guidance to a team of LPNs and nursing support staff. -Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare providers in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. -Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques. -Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration. -Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, care plans, progress notes, and medication administration records. Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Experience -Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures. -Leadership and supervisory abilities, with experience in team coordination and staff supervision. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. -Ability to prioritize tasks, make independent decisions, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
