Job Description

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. In this role Mercury Systems' is seeking a Senior Test Technician to test and troubleshoot state-of-the-art complex digital system assemblies in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

You are an extension of the Test Engineering team responsible for ensuring the proper operation and functionality of advanced technological products that have a real-world impact in one of the fastest growing companies in the US. This position is for a seasoned individual contributor in the Test sub-family, working under limited supervisionin routine and definedsituations.

Job Responsibility:



  • Test and troubleshoot of high-density electronic assemblies (CPU/FPGA), at the board and system levels.
  • Conduct functional and diagnostic tests to verify system performance, form, and functionality.
  • Set up, deploy, and operate test equipment across various technologies.
  • Collect, measure, and record performance data; prepare accurate and complete test reports of all recorded data.
  • Program, verify and troubleshoot devices, systems, and processes to identify and repair defects.
  • Support Engineers with technical documentation, schematics, and specifications, and performing necessary calculations
  • Perform initial tests on new or modified equipment and recommend improvements
  • Report defects and collaborate with production team to resolve product issues


Required Qualification:



  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in testing digital systems and subassemblies
  • Strong understanding of electronic principles, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with production processes, quality control, and efficiency
  • Skilled in performing and documenting test procedures, and responding to potential issues
  • Ability to identify root causes of problems, develop solutions, and impact of changes
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex schematics technical specifications
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, serial communications, RDP use and Linux


Preferred Qualification:



  • Minimum level of education: HS diploma or associate's degree
  • Factory Logix, Oracle, Xilinx Suites, Dediprog, ProComm, SecureCRT, TeraTerm application knowledge is a plus.
