Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

  • Certification (CST) preferred but not required.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital OR setting is required

The surgical technologist II functions in a perioperative surgical technologist role under the direction of the circulating Registered Nurse. Able to prioritize, organize and implement care of the surgical patient in a variety of specialties. Performs call obligations as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School graduate or equivalent, and graduate of accredited program for surgical technologists or accredited vocational school of nursing.

Experience:Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital OR setting is required.

Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) through the AHA (American Heart Association) required. CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) preferred.
