Description:

The Senior Accountant is a full-cycle role who will report to the Lead Finance Controller for one of the multiple entities within BGC Group (NASDAQ: BGC), a leading global brokerage firm providing integrated voice and electronic services to wholesale market participants. BGC offers a full range of brokerage services across fixed income, rates, foreign exchange, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, futures and structured product markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, the responsibility to facilitate large volumes of data both efficiently and timely is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a firm yet adaptable trait willing to challenge, when needed, and also flow with changes simultaneously and with a sense of urgency. Additionally, the ability to perform daily transactional tasks working in an office environment with close interactions amongst team members as well as senior management is an imperative duty along with the following activities:
* Supervise staff, ensuring the accuracy of their activities, and facilitating effective communication with clients
* Manage month-end close processes, including accruals, reviewing financial information for accuracy, and account reconciliations
* Oversee P & L accounts and reporting
* Preparation of regulatory reporting packages for internal management, business partners, and stakeholders
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for executive leadership
* Maintain general ledger accounts for multiple business units
* Generate cash flow summaries and handle intercompany transactions & reconciliations
* Assist with recurring and ad hoc journal entries
* Supervise monthly and off-cycle employee bonus calculations for payroll processes on a rotating schedule
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
* Facilitate audit processes, internal and external
* Oversee Audit and Regulatory Compliance
* Reconcile AP/AR intercompany transaction between companies and balance monthly with counterparts
* Lead special projects and reporting initiatives as assigned
* Maintain internal controls and enforce financial integrity in all areas of responsibility
* Provide solutions-oriented support and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting functions

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
* Professional certifications required
* 7+ years of full cycle accounting & leadership experience
* Background in the energy or oil and gas industry, preferred but not required
* US GAAP expertise
* Tax filing knowledge
* Experience with SAP
* Familiarity in a multi-entity environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Apps - Advanced to Professional level of Excel
* Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
* Effective communication skills, both verbally and written
* Ability to navigate through multiple sporadic levels of corporate finance functions sternly while utilizing strong organizational skills
* Self-motivated and detail oriented with proficient prioritization skills
* Solid work ethics and strong accountability
* Knowledge and/or work experience with Oracle is a plus

Estimated Min Rate: $120000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $150000.00
