Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Cruise Services Administrator works throughout the facility to provide a streamlined experience for guests during debark and embark. They will monitor and coordinate the cruise terminal operations including cruise processes, facilities maintenance, security, traffic, and ground transportation while addressing and communicating immediate concerns/issues that arise in a timely manner and in compliance with the Galveston Cruise Terminal, LLC security and operations plan, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage the cruise terminal logistics including safety, security, traffic, and ground transportation and troubleshoot and address any immediate concerns/issues that arise in a timely manner and in compliance with Safety, Security and Operations Plan, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as an alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) which includes the administration and management of security related operations, including the implementation and enforcement of the approved Facility Security Plan.
- Complete daily checklists to ensure operational needs are met.
- Set up and maintain terminal equipment.
- Track terminal assets.
- Collect and sort operational data. Perform analysis and preparing briefings and reports based on collected data.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with team members and coordinate terminal activities with stakeholders.
- Work independently and with teams.
- Maintain supplies and prepare orders when additional inventory is needed.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to effectively coordinate operational activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with team members and external groups.
- Superior organizational skills, time management and problem resolution skills.
- The ability to work in a federally regulated environment and to liaise with multiple types of partners and stakeholders; CBP, Port Police, USCG, TSA.
- Competency in MS Office suite and ability to learn other related systems.
- Must have a flexible work schedule with the ability to work weekends, and holidays.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in rotating shifts, days, evenings and nights.
- Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures of hot and cold, extremely dusty conditions and occasionally, conditions of high levels of noise.
- The ability to work in an environment that may be hazardous to persons unable to see and hear fast moving equipment.
- The ability to drive 50%.
- The ability to operate various types of equipment.
