Position Title: Facilities Technician II (Parks & Sports Facilities)

The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair building equipment, grounds, and related facilities at City Parks and the Peoria Sports Complex, home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. These operations include preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems for parks facilities.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Performing skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, repair, operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Performing skilled and semi-skilled work involved in the maintenance and repair of ventilation, heating and air conditioning units.
  • Responsible for plumbing maintenance and repair, ensuring systems operate efficiently and addressing issues promptly.
  • Performing basic carpentry tasks such as framing walls and partitions, drywall and painting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:



  • High school graduation or equivalency


Experience:



  • 2 years relatable experience


Physical Demands:



  • Work requires moderate physical exertion. Forces exerted are equivalent to lifting between 10 - 25 pounds.


Licenses and Certifications:



  • Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's license upon hire
  • EPA Universal Certification within 12 months of hire
  • Limited Police Department Background Check
