Job Description

CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, NYSE traded company specializes in the repair of air data probes and aircraft accessories. Our mission is to be the best provider of niche products and repairs to the aerospace industry. To support this mission, CSI Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:




  • Design of aircraft repairs by research, investigation, and reverse engineering
  • Create 3D CAD models from metrology tools and reports
  • Create manufacturing drawings.
  • Coordinate and evaluate building of prototype repairs
  • Evaluate final product's performance, reliability, regulatory compliance, and safety
  • Create reports and data packages to be submitted to the FAA for approval
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Complete projects on schedule, within budget and within project specifications
  • Coordinate efforts and communication among the various teams involved in projects
  • Coordinate technical efforts with outside laboratories and suppliers
  • Estimate resource requirements and scope of projects
  • Supports customers that use the product
  • Engages in lifelong learning and continuous improvement

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or related field) from a four-year college or university

Work Experience:



  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in an MRO or Aerospace related business.
  • Experience designing and/or reverse engineering products and leading projects
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner verbally and in written reports
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task



Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:



  • Language: English
  • Intermediate to Advanced 3D Modelling (Solidworks preferred)
  • Knowledge of standard metrology tools (Calipers, CMM, VMM, Optical Comparator)
  • Knowledge of machining and manufacturing techniques
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and measurement equipment
  • Competent in MS Office

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
