Job Description

The University of Missouri School of Medicine's Department of Radiology is pleased to announce an opening for a Physician Assistant to join our expanding team. This position will provide medical care in our Interventional Radiology division, at MUHC.
The Department of Radiology's mission is to provide the best care to patients, create an excellent educational experience for students, residents, and fellows, and advance the understanding of human illness and disease through creative and collaborative research.
The Department offers outstanding facilities and a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and staff members committed to advancement in clinical service and medical education.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
* Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, risks, and post-care expectations.
* Consent patients for procedures.
* Perform minimally invasive procedures (such as lumbar puncture, PICC placement, thyroid FNA) as part of the Interventional Radiology team. Training will be provided.
* Perform fluoroscopic guided GI and GU procedures. Training will be provided.
* Provide post-procedure follow-up care and manage patient progress.
* Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
* Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical education as part of MU Health's academic mission.
* Other duties as assigned.

Shift

Shift Type: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes

Minimum Qualifications

Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.

Preferred Qualifications

Specialty certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in Radiology.

Prior experience in radiology, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, or a related specialty preferred but not required.

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $90,251.20 - $120,000.00
