Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Commercial Revenue and Operational Pricing Manager. This role is pivotal in shaping pricing strategies and maximizing profitability through optimized volume and price. You will lead a team of Pricing Analysts and collaborate closely with regional leadership to advance our pricing capabilities and strategies. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Revenue and Pricing Strategy: Develop and maintain market, customer, and competitor points of view to inform pricing strategies. Ensure alignment with GP's strategic objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of Pricing Analysts, providing consistent training, coaching, and support to enhance their skills.
  • Pricing Execution: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of pricing for small deals, standalone requests, and large local bids. Oversee new customer bids and negotiations to align with strategic pricing frameworks.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with AGMs, Sales Teams, and cross-functional business teams to identify opportunities for pricing capability advancement and process optimization.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain accurate data at the item and customer level, perform systematic testing of pricing hypotheses, and provide insights to measure success against margin improvement goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify roadblocks and implement solutions to reduce request turnaround time and improve pricing processes.
  • Governance and Compliance: Maintain oversight of all pricing activities to ensure compliance with customer agreements and strategic pricing guidelines.
  • Advance the Principles-Based Management (PBM) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles.

Who You Are (Basic Requirements):

  • Experience in financial analysis, pricing, revenue management, or related roles demonstrating an understanding of key financial concepts and business drivers.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on talent development and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong economic and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to provide decision support to business stakeholders.
  • Systems and tools proficiency, with experience in handling large data volumes from multiple sources, financial modeling, and data interpretation.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a quantitative field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or packaging industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Internal corporate strategy or consulting experience.
