A Front Row Seat to Innovation

The Pharmacy Resident positions (PGY1 and PGY2) are only offered to applicants through the ASHP Resident Match Program (the "Match"). The Match provides an orderly process to help applicants obtain positions in residency programs of their choice, and to help programs obtain applicants of their choice. Similar matching programs are in use in many other health professions, including medicine, dentistry, psychology, podiatry, optometry, and others.

In order to be eligible for this position, applicants must have completed the requirements for ASHP accredited residency program, which includes providing pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients during clinical rotations, and administrative and service commitment activities.

Annual Salary: PGY1 - $60,000/year ( PGY1 - this is a set salary)
Annual Salary: PGY2 - $65,000/year ( PGY2 - this is a set salary)

Qualifications:
* Education: PharmD or RPh
* Experience: As defined by the ASHP residency standard.
* Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in the state of Colorado within 90 days of hire.
* Certification: BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute accepted)

Job Highlights:
* Coordinates, develops, and conducts major residency project, drug utilization review, and additional projects as assigned by pharmacy director, program director, and preceptors.
* Fulfills service commitment by sustaining pharmacy services throughout the organization through appropriate medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory control.
* Provides oversight to pharmacy technicians, interns and students when providing coverage in assigned area.
* Participates in the education of pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy students, and patients and families. Participates on hospital committees and in drug policy development.
