The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on maintaining and developing industrial operations through data-driven projects and continuous improvement activities.

Working in partnership with cross-functional teams to improve capacity, increase safety (EHS), build in quality, provide direction to assembly, enhance fabrication throughput, reduce operating cost and promote environmental initiatives.

What You'll Do:



  • Assist and provide coaching on the implementation aid of lean manufacturing tools such as 6 Sigma, standard work, TPM, FTT, Kanban systems, visual management 5S, value stream mapping, material flow
  • Analyze and suggest improvements to specific manufacturing operations such as welding process, fabrication process, finishing process, assembly processes, material handling and storage
  • Assist with the design of manufacturing cells, perform time studies to balance workloads, and develop standard work documentation for training
  • Utilize ergonomic and safety reporting tools to justify continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with the company safety program and culture; implement root cause countermeasures, five why analysis, safety walk audits, SDS organization, cleanup procedures, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of quality tools such as go/no-go gauges, assembly jig design, quality control checklists, & FTT tracking
  • Assist with projects to develop and maintain timing and cost
  • Assist team members on the implementation of continuous improvement ideas and Kaizen burst events.
  • Assist and facilitate improvement activities within the supply chain department (procurement, material flow, shipping and receiving)


What You'll Bring:



  • Bachelors in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Significant manufacturing engineering experience may be substituted for BS degree)
  • Lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma, continuous improvement training a plus
  • Excellent analytical, data, and problem-solving skills
  • Training in Environmental Health and Safety (OSHA, NFPA) a plus
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Team player with ability to work on multiple projects
  • Computer literacy in Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Preferred experience with 2D/3D CAD, 3D printing, Power BI, MS Project, Visio
