Position Summary

The Senior Service Delivery Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery and implementation of our technical services. This position serves as the backbone of our service delivery team, working closely with internal and external teams to deploy cutting-edge solutions effectively and efficiently to our customers. The role requires a strong understanding of networking concepts, advanced experience with multi-vendor platform technologies, and a keen ability to manage and coordinate various aspects of service delivery projects.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in technical project management. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing timelines and deliverables, and keeping all parties informed of project progress. Organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential in managing the complexities of service delivery and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Implement, manage, and troubleshoot various government service platforms. This may include multiband, multi orbit, and multi-vendor solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical delivery documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Perform system implementations, configurations, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful service delivery and implementation
  • May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for employees
  • May provide written technical descriptions and contribute to the development of technical solutions in support of proposal efforts
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in current and emerging technologies
  • Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as required
  • Attend appropriate engineering, operations, customer, or business meetings



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field with 3-5 years' experience, or a minimum of 8 years working knowledge of complex network and satellite communication systems (equivalent combination of education and experience accepted)
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain if necessary
  • Proven experience with on time delivery of services
  • Proficiency in Linux command line operations
  • Strong background in SATCOM and internetworking technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Degree/Certification in technical project management
  • ITIL and/or Agile certifications
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Linux+, CCNA/JCNA etc.)
  • Experience with gateway site operations/management
  • iDirect IOM Certification or higher


The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
