Sanitation Technician

At Utz Quality Foods, our team of Sanitation Technicians is the first line of defense in ensuring the food safety and quality of our products. Join our dedicated team in Hanover, PA, working the Monday-Friday 3:40PM-10:30PM shift, and help maintain the high standards that make Utz a trusted name in food. Responsibilities:


  • Perform cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the packaging room and other production areas as required.



  • Safely work with and around cleaning chemicals, following proper disbursement procedures.



  • Operate equipment such as high-reach lifts, forklifts, air wands, high-pressure rinsers, sweepers, and more.



  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and standard work instructions.



  • Clean elevated surfaces, can washers, and hard-to-reach equipment as needed.



  • Remove waste and return tools and materials to designated areas after use.



  • Complete assigned tasks and sanitation checklists with accuracy and accountability.



  • Ensure compliance with safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols at all times.



  • Maintain a flexible attitude and be willing to support multiple campus locations.




Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to clean areas on production machines.
  • Capability to safely operate cleaning equipment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Dedication to maintaining Utz's commitment to quality and safety.
  • Experience working in a USDA-regulated facility is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to comfortably wear and work with various forms of PPE.
  • A strong team player who can also work independently to meet production goals.

Education



  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Familiar with working in a USDA regulated facility
