Industrial Evolution. For more information, visitvigor.net. POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Analyst ensures salaried and hourly payroll processes are accomplished appropriately and in a timely manner. This individual coordinates the payroll functions for multiple companies with differing pay rules. The position serves as the subject matter expert on payroll and resolves issues while seeking improvements in operational processes, to include supporting system conversion efforts. ThePayroll Analyst works effectively with a diverse population both within the Human Resources Department and throughout the company. JOB SCOPE: ThePayroll Analyst operates within standard operating principles related to payroll systems and is expected to apply knowledge of law and regulations gained through experience and education. The position reviews and recommends to the Corporate Payroll Manager changes in systems and processes. ThePayroll Analyst both performs complex technical work and while not in a supervisory role, acts as a lead for those performing payroll work. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: ThePayroll Analyst cultivates strong relationships and proactively resolves issues through close collaboration with the Payroll Department, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other internal and external partners. WORKING CONSIDERATIONS: Due to the time-sensitive nature of payroll processing and related tasks, scheduling time off around critical deadlines will be necessary. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, Business or Human Resources or a combination of education and related experience preferred. Three (3) years of experience administering a multi-company payroll. Individual must have experience in Time and Attendance, Human Resources and Payroll is preferred. Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: CPP or FPC preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands for this position are light to moderate. The position requires sitting and use of hands/arms for extended periods of time using a variety of computer programs, electronic communication tools and related office equipment to accomplish work tasks; operating a motor vehicle including a current driver's license; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment for this job is primarily office-oriented with open shared office spaces and constant interruptions; some travel within a heavy industrial environment when performing certain administrative functions or overseeing payroll work.
