Job Title: Design Draftsman

Location(s): Richmond, VA

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Basic knowledge of drafting principles.
  • Basic knowledge of building and construction principles.
  • Good analytical and abstract thinking with the ability to process detailed information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to process and understand maps and charts.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office suite of software.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drawing software.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • This role will organize and maintain documents associated with design, engineering and construction within the Power Generation Business Unit of our client.
  • Organizes and maintains drawings, prints, diagrams, word documents and pdf documents.
  • Works closely with designers, engineers, and power station personnel to find and perform simple drafting tasks and revisions to drawings and documents.
  • Compiles and organizes submittal drawings and documents from 3rd party vendors and consultants.
  • Locates, modifies and prints drawings using small and large format plotter.


Preferred Years of Experience:


  • 3 5 years of experience.


Education:


  • Associates Degree Preferred (demonstrated related knowledge, skills, experience may be substituted for preferred education).
