Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), data communications systems, and both physical and virtualized server environments. This role ensures the integrity, availability, and performance of critical infrastructure, supporting both business operations and cybersecurity compliance.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and data communication networks.
  • Administer physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and core network services.
  • Monitor systems and network performance to ensure uptime, integrity, and resource availability.
  • Analyze system and network logs, verifying successful completion of scheduled jobs including backups and patch deployments.
  • Manage user access controls and authentication mechanisms across systems and networks.
  • Perform software installations, upgrades, and license management for networked systems.
  • Support network planning, modeling, and performance analysis activities.
  • Coordinate between hardware, software, and IT support teams for integrated systems maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and network topologies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0+ years or related experience.
  • A current DoD TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking platforms.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, or Splunk).
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
  • Experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python are a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and change management best practices.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Industry certifications strongly preferred:

    • Network+: CompTIA
    • CCNA/CCNP:Cisco
    • MCSA/MCSE:Microsoft
    • Security+ or equivalent, if handling DoD or sensitive environments.

Salary Range - MD:$83,000-$110,000 depending on experience and the level hired into
