Electrical Drafter II

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.

CLPE is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Electrical Drafter II to join the engineering team at our corporate location. Local drafting candidates strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop professional AutoCAD drawings from engineering sketches and concepts.
• Organize and put together design drawing submittals and construction drawing packages.
• Will use CAD software to update drawings for electrical systems including high voltage utility substations, switching stations, and commercial/industrial power distribution systems.
• Update as-built AutoCAD drawings per engineer's red-lines.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD lisp routines to automate drafting processes.
• Assist with maintaining/developing CLP Engineering CADD standards.
• Keep up to date with the latest CADD technology developments and utilize to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Work closely as an active Team Member with Engineers and other Departments on project assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Associate degree or Certification in AutoCAD, Drafting and Design, or related field from an accredited college.
• Minimum of two (2+) years' electrical drafting experience.
• Basic understanding of medium voltage electrical substations and distribution system configurations and functions.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Utility electrical drafting and design experience a plus.
• Must have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Must be a team player who is able to work with various partners from start to finish.

Other Requirements:

• You must be a U.S. citizen.
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
• Valid driver's license required.

• We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
• Salary range: $30.00 - $33.00/hour based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
