What You Will Do

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is key to driving quality excellence across our products and processes-especially within our fast-paced operations and warehouse environments. You'll play a hands-on role in identifying and resolving quality issues, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring consistency that exceeds customer expectations. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, reduce waste, and help shape a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure alignment with Trimble's corporate quality standards and relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Conduct internal audits and support CAPA initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance.

  • Manage quality documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and inspection checklists.

  • Collaborate with supplier quality and incoming inspection teams to maintain high material standards.

  • Lead root cause analysis and implement lean principles to reduce waste and drive efficiency.

  • Monitor inspection data, ensure equipment calibration, and analyze trends to prevent quality issues.

  • Support warehouse operations with quality control processes in receiving, storage, and shipping.

  • Train team members and promote a culture of quality throughout all operational processes.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

  • 5-10 years of quality engineering experience, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or logistics.

  • Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.

  • Skilled in root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys) and problem-solving.

  • Proficient in SPC and other quality tools.

  • Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement practices.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

  • Experience supporting warehouse and operational environments.

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.

About Trimble's Manufacturing Engineering Department

Trimble's Manufacturing Quality Engineering team in Dayton, Ohio, plays a pivotal role in upholding the company's commitment to excellence in product quality and operational efficiency. This dedicated team collaborates closely with the Director of Operations to ensure that all products and processes meet stringent quality standards, particularly within the operations and warehouse environments. Their efforts are instrumental in maintaining product consistency, reducing operational inefficiencies, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

In a hybrid role, you will work with your manager to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for your time working in the office based on the position and the business need. Typically hybrid positions are 1-3 days per week, or 20%-60% of the month in the office.
