The Senior Database Developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex database systems. This position requires a deep understanding of MS Fabric, SQL Server, and cloud database migration processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large-scale databases and cloud platforms, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and seamless migration.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop scalable database solutions using MS Fabric and SQL Server.

  • Develop, implement and optimize ETL Package, stored procedures, trigger, views and functions using T-SQL

  • Analyze existing SQL queries explain plan and improvement improvements
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
  • Create and Optimize Data Model
  • Lead cloud database migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Integrate various data sources to create unified data models.
  • Analyze and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization.
  • Database Changes deployment Automation using AzureDevOps(ADO) pipeline
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, configurations, and migration processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver tailored database solutions.
  • Mentor junior database developers and conduct training sessions to enhance team skills.
  • Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in database development, with a focus on MS Fabric, SQL Server, and cloud migration.
  • Expertise in MS Fabric and its applications in database development.
  • Proficient in SQL Server, including T-SQL programming, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Experience with cloud database platforms
  • Experience with following SDLC and Agile processes
  • Experience with assisting business in creating functional specifications
  • Experience with Creating technical specifications document based on functional specifications
  • Experience with database mirroring (e.g. CDC etc.)
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT design, creation and tools.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and BI solutions.
