In charge CSU and VAU clinical and administrative operations. The Cardiovascular Manager reports directly to the Heart & Vascular Center, Director of Clinical Operations, and is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities for the Invasive Cardiovascular Service lines. This individual has 24-hour responsibility for the two pre and post procedural units -Cardiovascular Support Unit (CSU) and the Vascular Access Lab (VAL) Responsibilities include patient care management, human resource management, unit budget management, supply and equipment inventory management, quality improvement and professional staff development. The Cardiovascular Manager is responsible for strategic planning, program development and performance improvement. Additionally, design and leads operations for multiple cardiovascular service lines and assists with the development and implementation of new programs, policies and patient care standards. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and is held accountable for the overall administrative planning and coordination of the staffing, fiscal and material resources.
Department Overview
The Vascular Access Lab is a specialized invasive procedure area where vascular access, diagnostic, and interventional peripheral vascular procedures are performed under fluoroscopy on adult patients. The unit consists of pre/post area as well as an interventional procedure room.
The Cardiovascular Support Unit provides pre and post op care for interventional cardiology and vascular patients The Cardiovascular Support Unit prepares patients for their impending procedure and
recovering and discharging post operative patients. In addition to providing perioperative care, the staff of the Cardiovascular Support Unit provide direct care for patients receiving a transesophageal echocardiogram or cardioversion; this includes preparation, sedation,
and recovery.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Possession of a current California RN license without restriction
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (RN to Master's Bridge Program in lieu of BSN may be considered qualifying)
- Master's degree required.
- Three (3) years' experience in cardiovascular nursing
- Three (3) years PACU / ED / ICU/ Procedural experience in a similar setting
- Minimum of Three (3) years of nursing management experience.
- Three (3) years' workforce experience leading, managing, and developing a large interdisciplinary team or department including performance management, corrective action, setting staff and department goals and expectations.
- Experience in resource management and budgeting. Proficiency in developing and updating unit policies and procedures to align with the best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area
- Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of health care technology within specialty area
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification of field of practice preferred (if appropriate)
- Two years Clinical and Supervisory experience at Level 1 Trauma Center
- Two years Clinical and Supervisory Experience at an Academic Medical Center
- Experience working in a Magnet Designated Hospital Setting
- Knowledge of the Joint Commission and Title 22 regulations
