Specialist II, CIT Accounting and Audit Oversight

As a Specialist II on the Collective Investment Trust (CIT) team, you will be responsible for assisting the team to fulfill its multi-faceted duties with respect to overseeing our business and various other aspects of IMS product offering that impact the use of SEI affiliates. SEI's CIT Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining collective trusts under the rules of its direct regulator and standards of the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service and other regulatory bodies. This team works closely with internal divisions including the ITA, IFS, Compliance, Legal, etc. The CIT Team currently supports over 700 collective funds with approximately $225 Billion in AUM working with over 190 investment sub-advisors. What you will do: Coordination and oversight of CIT audits:
Act as liaison with internal and external fund administrators / accounting providers regarding certain matters impacting the CIT book of business:
* Exercise appropriate levels of professional oversight to ensure that certain support / product enhancements being requested fall within appropriate bands of risk mitigation. * Support management with projects and initiatives. * Strategically assist with the creation of processes or practices that will drive our business forward in an accurate and efficient manner. * Collaborate with team members to support the needs of our clients as they arise. * We want you to succeed and look for future solutions! What we need from you: * BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience. * CPA, MBA or MS Accounting/Finance or advanced degree desired. * Minimum of 5 years of fund accounting, operations experience, audit, risk management or compliance experience a plus. * Knowledge and awareness of applicable laws, rules and standards of Investment Management industry, including GAAP. * Demonstrate a strong understanding of risks and controls in order to independently develop and implement audit programs. * Experience with alternative investment vehicles is also ideal. * Project management experience is preferred. * Proficient in MS Office tools. * Knowledge of CITs and the regulatory structure governing CITs is desired. * Self-starter with outstanding decision-making skills. * Good oral and written communications skills. * Detailed oriented and the ability to work independently or with team members to meet deadlines. * Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.
