Certified Optima Solutions Professional

As a Certified Optima Solutions Professional , you will represent PPG at customer facilities ensuring our Automotive Coatings customer satisfaction by providing outstanding customer service, focusing your concentration on Ecoat, Topcoat, color, and appearance control to customer specifications. You will be responsible for helping to achieve both customer and PPG goals, while participating in continuous improvement and problem-resolution activities with Plant Operations and Management!

Specialized training, as necessary, will be provided for the successful candidate who meets the qualifications of the role. The selected candidate will report to the Optima Solutions Manager and work at our Toyota Manufacturing team in Princeton, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing activities of onsite PPG customer team at automotive production facilities by communicating cross-functionally to understand customer concerns, collecting data, and taking appropriate actions to help resolve customer issues.

• Record daily inventory count at site, keep accurate recordings in the log sheets, estimate usages, foresee possible issues with inventory and expiration dates.

• Perform required tests for material and process systems, and prepare technical reports for customers

• Attend daily meetings with customers to provide feedback from data collected, and answer questions and provide recommendations as needed.

• Participate in meetings with internal PPG departments such as Technical, Commercial, Quality, Production, etc., to address projects, quality and/or technical issues, etc.

• Provide resolution to customer inquiries, application process monitoring, mix-room supervisors, consignment inventory, material ordering, and hands-on support; followed by a written daily shift report.

• Use PPG digital tools to capture critical data and facilitate problem solving.

• Support any special projects, as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma or equivalent required (Chemical, Industrial, etc.)

• 1+ year of experience with industrial coating technologies (including electrocoat, clear coat, or base coat)

• Must be proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
