Retail Wine Sales Representative - Total Wine, Wilmington N.C. Sales Territory Includes: Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry, and Surf City. Summary Training position that assists the Sales Manager and Sales personnel in regular duties; sells and merchandises wine, malt beverages and non-alcoholic beverages to retail establishments for wholesale distributor by performing the following duties. Covers Retail Sales Routes/Accounts as assigned by District Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Service and maintain current accounts with orders and provide prompt, courteous customer service. Including attending and participating in store resets as required. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads. Travels through assigned territory, including remote areas, to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, merchandise, sells displays, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product. Quotes prices and payment terms for orders obtained. Various local chain responsibilities to include cluster sales and price submissions as assigned by Manager. Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules. Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems. Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries. Identifies and responds to customers' needs. Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district manager, sales managers and the general manager. Executes sales plans and maintains accounts according to company standards. Tracks and reports progress of goals on a weekly basis and/or as requested. Participates in supplier work-withs. Continually maintains training and product knowledge. Delivers emergency orders when needed. Attends trade shows. Assists with store re-sets Distributes point of sale material for use in the market and builds displays Maintains shelf displays Conducts business according to local and state laws. Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager Education and/or Experience
