Job Summary The IT Intern will provide technical support to internal staff, assist with troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and support ongoing IT projects. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, working alongside experienced professionals. Responsibilities Assist in responding to technical support requests from staff regarding software, hardware, and network issues Help diagnose and troubleshoot user issues using provided tools and resources Support scheduled troubleshooting appointments with end users under supervision Assist with user account creation and deactivation processes Help manage distribution lists and basic Active Directory tasks Participate in new hire setup and equipment preparation Review and escalate spam/phishing incidents as needed Aid in VPN account and remote access setup/maintenance Assist in managing file/folder permissions and restoring files from backups Support documentation of processes and common resolutions Skills Strong time management Organizational and multitasking skills Clear communication (verbal and written) Attention to detail Dependable and eager to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Friendly, team-oriented environment Mentorship and training from experienced IT professionals Real-world experience in various areas of IT support Exposure to enterprise-level tools and systems Paid volunteer hours Flexible schedule to support academic commitments Company events and outings Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT Excellent communication and customer service skills
