What you'll do:

As a Portfolio Governance Analyst you'll play a key role in ensuring effective governance, risk management, and compliance within the organization's project portfolio. You'll be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining governance policies, procedures, and frameworks for project portfolio management, ensuring timely updates based on regulatory changes and evolving internal processes. In this role, you will work with compliance teams to develop risk controls, incorporating those controls and audit requirements into governance documentation, maintaining a centralized repository for all governance related documentation.
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of project governance processes and frameworks, ensuring best practices in risk management, compliance, and project delivery.
  • Manage the department's inventory of governance policies, procedures, job aids, and templates ensuring alignment to processes, organizational objectives, risk management standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the department's critical spreadsheet and Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) model inventory ensuring data integrity by implementing validation checks and quality control measures. Monitor, document, and track departmental issues systematically. Ensure timely escalation of critical issues to leadership.
  • Lead development and oversight of the department's Risk Control Inventory (RCI), working with first and second-line partners on annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) refresh activities and ad-hoc updates required to align with evolving processes. Participate in audits and reviews of project governance practices, identify gaps, and drive process improvements across the portfolio.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and business partners, promoting strong governance and compliance across the organization.

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of related experience in Project Management and governance, Risk Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and experience in designing and implementing reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of organizational change management methodologies (e.g., PROSCI).
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Business Improvement, Project Management or Business methodology accreditation (e.g., DMAIC, Lean/Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred.
