Pouch Line Mechanic A

Seneca Foods in Janesville, WI is currently seeking a Pouch Line Mechanic A to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree insome form of computer technology or equivalent work experience, proficient use of Microsoft windows, and the ability to maneuver through multiple levels of an operator interface terminal and be proficient in PLC interface based equipment and operation.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate with management, the quality department, and fellow employees.
• Must have the ability to effectively understand proper documentation and handling of paperwork involved with departmental operations.
• Ability to read machine drawings and eletrical schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform both routine PM and mechanical trouble shooting.
• Requires the ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions.
• Job requires extensive walking, climbing, and some crawling.
• Must be able to demonstrate sustained attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints, and manuals, and processing specifications.
• This job requires a high degree of responsibliity in terms of verifying that all thermal processes are being completed,maintaing the flow of production and the maintenance of equipment in proper working order.
• The technician is required to perform all duties as described in the job description.
• Other duties as required or assigned by Management.
