Performs high-level administrative support for a FedEx Legal Managing Director (MD) and other staff members in the Legal department. Maintains the office and/or department daily administrative operations, which includes handling situations of varying complexity that can often not be brought to the immediate attention of the MD.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs clerical functions which may require knowledge of general business and office procedures including maintaining follow-up files, assembling materials for reports and using a personal computer.
  • Receives and escorts visitors.
  • Receives, date stamps and distributes department mail.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains calendar for management and coordinates arrangements for staff meetings, business travel, seminars, etc.
  • Answers and screens telephone calls.
  • Processes, coordinates, and follows up with vendor accounting on bills received for payment and expense reports and relieves management of administrative duties.
  • Composes emails, letters for items such as equipment repairs, unit schedules, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Domicile/Work Location:

  • This position will be central meaning the successful candidate will be required to work onsite at the Memphis FedEx Campus location.
