ChampionX is seeking an Upgrader Process Subject Matter Expert & Industry Marketer to support the Chemical Technologies segment. This role will be responsible for setting up standards, best practices, tools, trainings and audit standards, as well as understanding our market direction, capabilities, gaps and opportunities in order to develop strategies for growth and create new target markets and products. What You Will Do:

  • Best Practice documentation - create standard format and establish documents for process applications
  • Training Programs - develop content and lead training programs for field representatives
  • Audits - support troubleshooting and audits at customer sites
  • Tools - develop tools needed by field to better support our customers
  • Be a recognized technical leader in the field of process treatment in the oil & gas industry
  • Active participation in professional organizations
  • Understanding of upgrading, crude and finished fuel product markets and creation of a clear and executable strategy that enables us to strengthen leadership position in market
  • Collaborate w/ field representatives to understand needs of customers and competition to improve our offering
  • Conduct regular SWOT analyses of industry, segments, customers and sites to improve our offerings
  • Work with Product Line Managers to support product catalog and pricing based on market needs and analytics
  • Creation of field collateral to sell and support customers
  • Manage new product and offerings w/ R&D and other Functional groups - from ideation and development to field trials and commercialization
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing database activity (CORE)
  • Facilitate global cadences with process-focused teams (sales, marketing, R&D and technical)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering, chemistry or biology
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in crude / fuel process treatment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage well with all levels of stakeholders to translate needs into effective outcomes
  • Financial acumen to understand company's P&L and make recommendations in line with goals and market
  • Travel - role may require extensive travel to customer sites (anticipated at 50% or greater)
