Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a Viral Pathogenesis Technician Support IIIto support the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at:$69,000 - $75,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. Responsibilities:



  • Serve as BSL-2 and BSL-3 mentor
  • Will support 1-5 Non-human Primate studies, 10-20 rodent studies per year. Will perform inoculations with virus, collecting tissue for processing and conduct bleedings. Will perform Complete Blood Count (CBC), general chemistries, coagulations assays and other clinical laboratory based assays on samples from animals
  • Will perform basic cell culture, plaque assays (PA), plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT), PCR and other assays to support 1-5 Non Human Primate studies, 10-20 rodent studies. Workload is approximately 1000 plates/assays per month
  • Will perform in vitro testing of candidate vaccines and therapeutic compounds against a variety of viruses. May use 200-300 plates/assays per month
  • Will perform immunological procedures including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Western Blot assays
  • Will be proficient at completing flow cytometric analysis of cellular populations unsupervised on multiple different flow cytometry machines in BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories. Will perform approximately 100 tubes/samples per month
  • Will be responsible for assessing and maintaining laboratory supplies in BSL-2, BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories. Will assess supplies and ensure supplies are ordered or will order supplies using GFEBS ordering system. May need to order supplies using GFEBS systems. Anticipated workload is 25-30 orders/monthly
  • Will perform general laboratory maintenance duties, including but not limited to cleaning, preparation for inspections, and containment space monthly duties as assigned by the suite supervisor
  • Will provide TPOC a employee Research Technical Report NLT the last day of each week
  • CS-PRP enrollment is required and will be held and maintained IAW the provisions in this contract and all applicable regulations
  • BPRP enrollment is required and will be held and maintained IAW the provisions in this contract and all applicable regulations.
