Most work will occur in the field under typical (hot and humid) Alabama conditions; some laboratory work is also expected |
| Essential Functions |
- Traveling to field sites around Alabama
- Assist w/ native bee field work including setting up insect traps & sweep netting
- Processing insect specimens for pinning
- Assisting w/ outreach events
- Collecting/Entering data into spreadsheets
- Assist w/beekeeping tasks such as hive management
- Honeybee box building & maintenance
- Research related tasks
- Assist w/outreach events

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Interest in Entomology or related discipline
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Ability to work outside for long periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in insect collection, beehives, bee collecting and data entry |
